In April, we'll be doing our first Noel Coward play, "Private Lives." I'm excited, since I know Coward only by reputation, and many members of the group are big fans.

In case you are new to the group...

Scripts - The script is widely available -- often for under a dollar -- on Amazon, at used bookstores, and at the library. Please bring a script if you can.

Preparation - No preparation is required. Some people like to read the plays in advance, others prefer to be surprised.

Parking - Parking in the Upper Haight can be a bit tricky if you're not used to it. Allot extra time, or take public transportation if that's convenient for you.

Start time - Note the earlier start time, 6:45 PM. We'll spend the first half hour getting re-acquainted, discussing the play, and ordering up some drinks. We'll start the reading promptly at 7:15 PM.

p.s. I've been continuing to compile suggestions for upcoming plays in the "Files" section of the team's meetup website. Keep the good ideas coming!

I just finished reading the play last week -- good fun. Although there are only 5 parts, we can rotate each for each act if we have a big turnout. See you next week!

Dang! I have a rehearsal that night. One of these times I'm going to make it to a read-through. "Private Lives" is a great show and a fun read. Try "HayFever" sometime too...more people.

My first time and I arrived quite late, not being a city boy I got lost. Very plesant folks having a good time together. I liked it quite a bit. I'll attend again. Tim
    •  That was such a blast! I had a wonderful time. It was great meeting new great people and coming together to do this simple, fun activity. And I love reading plays. It was great! I can't wait for our next one.
