The Shaw fans have finally won the day -- our May play will be "Major Barbara." There are lots of parts, and the script is widely available. I love Shaw's other plays, but I'm not yet familiar with this one, so I'm especially looking forward to it.
In case you are new to the group...
Scripts - The script is widely available -- often for under a dollar -- on Amazon, at used bookstores, and at the library. Please bring a script if you can.
Preparation - No preparation is required. Some people like to read the plays in advance, others prefer to be surprised. We typically divvy up parts at the play reading itself.
Parking - Parking in the Upper Haight can be a bit tricky if you're not used to it. Allot extra time, or take public transportation if that's convenient for you.
Start time - Note the earlier start time, 6:45 PM. We'll spend the first half hour getting re-acquainted, discussing the play, and ordering up some drinks. We'll start the reading promptly at 7:15 PM.

“ The play was too long and we kept loosing players. My personal reading wasnt' very good (getting over a cold) and so I didn't help the pace any. Last month was great. I'm sure next month will be great too. Over all it was very enjoyable doing something unusual like play reading with nice people. ” -
